so very pleased that enrollment in my drawing course with mission oaks recreation and parks is full, and we've started a waiting list! watercolor has a few spots left...very encouraging :)  also in the midst of some new works, little acrylic paintings inspired by african textiles, show is slated for september. stay tuned.

pleased to have been chosen for the cover of "inside east sac" january edition. i am surprised that the publishers of inside publications chose "up from mud" but pleased none the less (would have thought they'd fancy a still life, and not my funky illustrative portrait). pick up a copy and check it out :)

the last time i had a piece of artwork exhibited, i was super young-- 4 years old. my lovely self portrait was featured at the los angeles county museum of art (lacma) in a children's art exchange with the people's republic of china, before it was sent off to china. i recall feeling very upset that nobody asked me for permission; i never got that drawing back.
